2015/2016 Fall/Winter Update – Updated August 2015
It’s amazing how fast the summer as gone by. We went from record setting rains in the spring to a very hot and dry summer quickly. This is actually great news for the upcoming fall/winter hunts. First, despite the long, hot, dry summer, the land is in very good condition. The immense spring rains filled up the lakes, rivers, and underground reservoirs and wells. Second, the rainfall and natural vegetation peaked during the crucial months for antler growth.
Based on field observations, we are expecting our best crop of mature trophy whitetail since we began the
commercial hunting operation over ten years ago. The heavy springs rains, vegetation, and the fact that not many trophy bucks were taken last season, all lend to what looks to be a very exciting season starting in October! The Fallow and Axis bucks are looking amazing as well. Truthfully, pretty much every trophy specie is looking great for the upcoming season.
Bookings for 2015/2016
We are currently booking hunts for fall and winter, 2015/2016. We still have availabilities but we highly encourage you to carve out your spot on the calendar as soon as possible, especially for weekend hunts. Repeat clients have already filled many of the fall/winter weekend availabilities. As such, it is best to book as early as possible.
Ranch and Hunting News!
Things have been pretty quiet on the ranch since we wrapped our last hunt back in May. But it’s getting close to hunting time again and we are all chompin’ at the bit to get started. Repeat customers will find a couple of new tower blind locations that are going to be exciting to hunt for the first time. We are also adding new bow platforms to offer our bow-hunters more options that ever before. Enough talk though, it’s time to get in the field and do this!
